In 3rd grade this month we will focus on the WIN-WIN, WIN-LOSE, and LOSE-LOSE solutions to peer conflict. We will also discuss the importance of clear communication when working out a problem with a friend.

Character Counts
Third graders will discuss the character trait of fairness this month.

Bullying Prevention
In September 3rd graders built on their study skills. We talked about listening and note taking, when and where to do homework and the importance of having a positive attitude toward school work.
During the month of October we will be talking about bulling prevention. This week, the students will take a short pre-unit quiz to see what they already know about bullying behavior and how to stop it. After the quiz we will discuss what the different types of bullying behaviors are.
Back to School!
Week 1: Find Someone Game students will share three new things about themselves and recognize the importance of building classroom community.
Week 2: Listen to Learn students will describe the ways listening is used for learning.
Week 3: Cooperation we will explore the concept of working together.
